Another Birthday Boy

Happy Birthday, Kent!

Kent,
It's hard to believe another year has come and gone. It seems like yesterday you were reaching out those pudgy little arms and saying, "hold you, hold you." I miss all the sweet little things you used to say. The reality is, you aren't a little baby anymore. Son, I am so proud of you and the young man you are becoming. I can always depend on you to help me and you never complain. You always have a great attitude and are kind, loving and respectful. When I hear the things you say and see the things you do, I can see Jesus in you! Nothing makes me more proud! Thank you for being such a sweet son and making everyday joyful! Mom loves you with all my heart! Happy eighth birthday!!
Love,
Mom

Moving Day

It's been three weeks since we moved to our new home, and we're finally settling in. At first, I was overwhelmed by the amount of work that had to be done, but so many of our sweet friends came to the rescue! If it weren't for family and friends, we would still be unpacking! We are truly blessed! So, thank you to all!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the big move...

This is one of the first gifts Billy's parents bought for us when we got married.
This was a tree that Billy and I planted when I was pregnant with Kent.
Our "old" mailbox.
Moving Day!
The "new" house!

I love this picture!

I'm Back!

I really can not put into words just how excited I am to have Internet again! However, we did last a lot longer than I thought we would! Even though the access to the web is once again at my finger tips, the blogging still may be few and far between. Life is just busy these days, and instead of blogging, I'll probably be sleeping or watching Jon & Kate Plus Eight (my latest addiction). At least now I can stay caught up on what used to be my "daily reads"!

Hope everyone has a great weekend... and don't forget your coat! ;-)

Happy Birthday, Amos!

Sweet Amos,

Happy birthday little man! I can't believe your already five years old! Do you remember last year, you promised Mommy you would stay little forever? Well, I think you fibbed! Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives! Mommy and Daddy love you so much, and we wish you a very happy birthday!

Love,
Mommy

I'm a few days late posting Amos' birthday, but beter late than never, right? Today is Kent's birthday, which probably means I'll post his b-day pictures sometime next week (ha)!

SOLD!

Well, we made it through the dreaded inspection and appraisal issues. At first we ran into a few minor problems with the inspection that I thought could possibly change things, but now it's all resolved. I guess I didn't realize what a long process this would be and I started to really stress out over it... BAD! So, I had several conversations with God over the last few weeks! Numerous times I told God I would obey whatever He wants us to do and I will listen. I asked Him to help make things really obvious to me. Either let things happen smoothly or not, and I will be obedient regardless what the outcome is.

So far, everything has fallen into place so smoothly that I am confident this is what we are supposed to do.

Please keep our family in your prayers over the next couple of weeks. As crazy as this sounds, we don't know where we are going to live! Billy should be home today (he has been in Colorado for two weeks), and we will start looking this weekend. My main concern is the school situation. I would love to be able to stay in West Fork, but that might not happen. Please pray that where ever we end up, the transition will be smooth. Also, please pray that we will have good neighbors. Right now we have the best neighbors in the world, and I am VERY sad to leave them!

I know people move all the time, but we never have. My stress level is a little high with all that will need to be done in a short amount of time. Thank you in advance for your prayers, and I will update again as soon as more progress is made! :-)

Contract Pending!

Thursday night we finally got an offer on our house! I couldn't believe it. One hour before the contract expired on Friday, we accepted the sellers offer!

I thought selling our house was exactly what I wanted, BUT now I'm having mixed emotions. This was our first house together, and we brought all three of our babies home from the hospital in this house. Don't get me wrong, I am excited, just a little scared.

We are supposed to close September 28th, but we still need to make it through the appraisal before it's final. If the house appraises for what we're asking, it will be final. It could swing either way at this point. I am leaving it completely in God's hands, and have decided I will not be upset either way. Whatever happens will be His plan for us!

We should know something within the next two weeks!

Grandchildren

I just love this picture! This is my Grandparents (my mom's parents) and all the great-grandchildren on that side of the family. We don't get the chance to be together very often so this picture is extra special!

My Bicycle Boy

I am so excited to announce that, Amos, can ride a big boy bicycle now! No more training wheels!!! I also need to mention, that he is my youngest and only child that can ride a bike!

Last year, Amos walked into the kitchen where I was cooking and said, "mom, I'm goin' out in the garage for a minute to work on my bike." When I looked down at him he was holding his toy wrench, hammer and screwdriver and so I said, "Okay.. whatever. Have fun!" When I went out to check on him he had taken his training wheels off his bike! I couldn't believe it! I didn't know a little plastic toy could do that!

It wasn't until this past Thursday, for whatever reason, he was suddenly motivated to get on his bike and ride!

We pulled up to our house in the car and Amos said, "Mom, I'm going to ride my bike today!" and I said, "You've got ten minutes (thinking he would scoot around on it and drag his feet)!" Well, he pulled his bike out of the garage and literally took off like a pro! Can you tell I'm a proud mother???

Anyway, I ran in the house and grabbed my camera and here is the video...
